Problems with Registration for 171/172 and 181/182, and the corresponding 183/184 lab?  Try this first.

All course restrictions may not be visible in Bannerweb.  Look at the course list at MyMiami before selecting your course sections.  Then,

  1. Search PHY and your campus to open ALL of the Physics Courses.
  2. Check the boxes on the left for your class and lab section.  The courses must be entered at the same time, and using checkboxes is the only way to accomplish this.
  3. At the bottom of the page, click Register.

Reminders:

  • PHY171 Students - select your lab section first.  Then choose the 171 section with the SAME letters.
  • PHY171 students use Lab sections 183AA thru 183BP.
  • PHY181 and PHY181F students use Lab sections 183L CA thru CP.
  • PHY183L section CF is for Physics and Engineering Physics majors only.
  • PHY181F is for first-year students.
  • PHY181F section A is for Physics and Engineering Physics majors only.

Remember, all course restrictions may not be visible in Bannerweb.  Look at the course list at MyMiami if you have further questions.

If needed, Change of Schedule forms are online at the registrar's website, and you need only the signature of the course instructor to force-add physics classes.
