Physics Minor

This minor provides a foundation in classical and modern physics, together with enhanced skills in electronics or computational physics. The Physics Minor is not available to majors in physics or engineering physics. Courses may not be taken on a credit / no-credit basis.

Program Requirements:

PHY 181, 182 - The Physical World (4, 4)

PHY 183, 184 - General Physics Laboratory (1, 1)

PHY 291 - Contemporary Physics (4)

PHY 293 - Contemporary Physics Laboratory (2)

with

MTH 151 - Calculus I (5) and MTH 251 - Calculus II (4), or

MTH 153 - Calculus I (4) and MTH 251 - Calculus II (4), or

MTH 249 - Calculus II (5)

and either:

PHY 292 - Electronic Instrumentation (3) and

PHY 294 - Laboratory in Electronic Instrumentation (2), or

PHY 286 - Introduction to Computational Physics (3)
